Strategy Session

90 minutes of feedback and next steps on a challenge, deliverable, or decision.

Some projects need a focused conversation with someone senior who can quickly understand the situation, ask the right questions, and help clarify what should happen next.

A Strategy Session is designed for founders, leaders, and teams who need fast, practical input on one real challenge—whether that is a launch, a partnership, a new initiative, a stuck decision, a rough deck, or a messy next step. The goal is simple: bring clarity to the problem, identify the strongest path forward, and leave with concrete next steps.

Best for

  • Leaders who need fast clarity on a specific challenge
  • Founders or operators who need outside perspective before moving forward
  • Teams working through a launch, partnership, or strategic decision

Case Study: NEW INC

Impact highlights

  • Supported founders, artists, and creative technologists inside NEW INC, the New Museum’s incubator
  • Contributed to a mentorship-driven ecosystem serving 120+ creative entrepreneurs annually
  • Worked within a program supported by 130+ mentors each year
  • Helped guide participants at key moments of experimentation, growth, and strategic decision-making
  • Added value in a community that has helped create 686 jobs, retain or build 384 businesses, and support members in raising $28.9M

Through NEW INC, the New Museum’s incubator for artists, designers, and creative technologists, I offered focused strategic guidance to founders and interdisciplinary creatives navigating moments of growth, uncertainty, and experimentation. NEW INC is built around the idea that access to mentorship, space, and community can help ambitious people build more sustainable practices—and that structure made it a strong environment for the kind of short, high-value support I provide.

My role was to help participants pressure-test decisions, clarify positioning, and identify stronger next steps across challenges related to storytelling, growth, partnerships, and project development. Rather than requiring a long engagement, these conversations were designed to unlock momentum quickly: one real problem, one focused session, one clear path forward.

That model fits naturally within a program like NEW INC, which supports more than 120 creative entrepreneurs annually, works with 130+ mentors each year, and has helped its members create 686 jobs, retain or build 384 businesses, and raise $28.9M. It is a strong example of how a contained strategy session can still create meaningful value inside a larger ecosystem of growth and experimentation.

A typical engagement usually looks like:

  • A short intake note or a few materials shared in advance
  • A focused 90-minute working session
  • Strategic feedback on one concrete problem
  • A concise follow-up note with recommendations and next steps

An ideal client usually looks like:

  • A leader with one important problem that needs clarity fast
  • A team preparing for a launch, pitch, or decision point
  • An organization that wants senior input without starting a larger engagement
  • A project that is stuck, messy, or time-sensitive—but still contained enough for one working session
